Making room for more

Posted by Kim McGrigg on 4/3/2008

I am at work today, so I cannot actually start to tackle Step 3 until later tonight, but I am thinking a lot about it today. The truth is that I hate clutter. I know for a fact that I have shoeboxes full of receipts dating back from 1990 and it drives me nuts. I can’t wait to get home and start tossing things out. Actually, I will probably shred them just to be on the safe side.

It is rumored that my father-in-law has cancelled checks from the 1970s in his storage shed. I think I will forward him today’s step since that sounds like nothing but a fire hazard to me.

What’s the oldest thing you’ve found lurking your financial files?
